Living in Smith Center has been a dream come true from a family perspective. I grew up in Junction City, KS and always considered that a small town (about 20k residents). When I moved to Smith Center (about 1,600 residents) in 2003 I wondered just what I had gotten myself into. Since moving here, Smith Center has consistently delivered when it comes to quality of life and certainly with respect to raising great kids. The sense of community and care for one another is unparalleled. Knowing your kids are safe and being cared for, even when you're not with them is the peak of "rural community"

MY KIDS WILL BE LIVING THEIR BEST LIVES

The age-old saying is that it takes a village to raise a family and when you get into as small of a town as Lebanon you have a village and people get together and do cool things and make a difference...Raising my kids here is just the best thing that could happen. There's so much to offer. My kids are going to be able to live their best lives.

DEEP SENSE OF CONNECTION & MUTUAL SUPPORT

Smith Center is the ideal community to raise a family. After living in eastern Kansas for 20 years, we returned to Smith County in 2019 where Michelle grew up to raise our son. We wanted him to experience the values and traditions that make Smith Center a wonderful place to live. This community promotes a deep sense of connection, mutual support, and shared values. The Smith Center community fosters a close-knit environment where individuals are more than just neighbors.
